The Pavilion

Our beautifully restored antebellum Pavilion offers over 5,200 square feet of covered and open deck space
with magnificent views of the mountains and lake.

The Pavilion

  • Accommodates up to 250 guests.
  • Tables and chairs are provided to accommodate 250.
  • Decks are tented with weatherproof siding.
  • Large tiled deck adjacent to our Olympic size swimming pool.

Lower Cabana Deck

  • Dimensions: 36’ x 54 tented.

Sun Deck

  • Dimensions: 36’ x 41’, tented.

Compass Deck

  • Dimensions: 36’ x 54 on square and 16 x 32 on rounded front.

The Bridal Room

Located on the first floor of the Pavilion, the Bridal Room offers a sanctuary, dressing room and staging area for your event. Use of this room is complimentary when booking the Pavilion.

The Highlands Event Center

Three event areas accommodate up to 120 guests and allow you to choose just the right
size and setting for your group.

The Highlands Event Center

Smith Mountain Room (A-B)

  • Dimensions: 31’ x 42’, Ceiling Height 12’.
  • Tables and chairs to accommodate up to 120 people.
  • This room can be divided.

Glass Atrium

  • Dimensions: 21’ x 50’, Ceiling Height 12’.
  • Great area for setup of food and beverage.
  • Adjacent to Smith Mountain with windows looking out on the pool deck and lake.

Event Center Deck

  • Dimensions: 21’ x 90’, outside. Holds up to 120 people.
  • Tables and chairs are not included with this outside space.
  • The outdoor deck extends the length of the Event Center and is adjacent to the pool.

Outside Venues

Located on a gently sloping lawn near the Pavilion, the wedding pergola offers a convenient and picture perfect locations for your lakefront ceremony.

The Pergola

This is a designated location for wedding ceremonies at Bernard’s Landing. The wedding pergola offers a beautifully landscaped sanctuary for your wedding party and guests. A large white wedding pergola is the focal point of this location. You will be surrounded by fabulous views of Sailors Cove, Bernard’s beach, and the surrounding mountains as you exchange vows. The wedding pergola is the perfect place to start your new lives.

Accommodates up to 250 guests.

Rental fee includes use of the wedding pergola and nearby grounds, which can easily be decorated to coordinate with the theme of your wedding.

No amenities are included with this area. Tables, chairs, etc. must be brought in by outside vendors.

Additional Event Information

Event Times

When renting the Pavilion or Highlands Event Center, the space will be available to you starting at noon the day before the event through noon the day following your event. This is included in your rental.

Staff On-site

A Bernard’s Landing staff member will be available to you on the day of the event to make sure that everything runs smoothly. This service is included in the price.

Catering

Bernard’s Landing offers you the flexibility of bringing your own caterer. We also have a food prep space available for your caterer. Your options are unlimited, and we want your event to be exactly the one you have dreamed of.

Cleaning

When renting either the Pavilion or Highlands Event Center, the day after cleaning service is provided in the rental price.

Pavilion Rental Fee Includes

The Pavilion accommodates up to 250 guests. Chairs and tables are included in the rental fee; however, Bernard’s Landing sells the space only therefore the setup, cleanup and breakdown of tables and chairs are the responsibility of the client/group. Linens, china, flatware, etc. are not provided. The outside lower decks are covered by a four-season tent. Also included is the upper deck which is a great place for guests to mingle.

Highlands Event Center Rental Fee Includes

The Highlands Event Center can accommodate up to 120 guests. Chairs and tables are included in the rental fee; however, Bernard’s Landing sells the space only therefore the setup, cleanup and breakdown of tables and chairs are the responsibility of the client/group. Linens, china, flatware, etc. are not provided.  Bernard’s Landing does not provide tents for the outside Highlands Event Center deck, but they can be rented from an outside vendor.

Wedding Pergola Rental Fee Includes

The Wedding Pergola is a “ceremony only” location. Your rental includes the Pergola and the surrounding grassy area.
